After a few tries and now that I am unsure how to use the bootcamp partition with parallels, I think it's about time someone goes through it step by step...

I thought you just setup parallels to point to the existing partition but I can't find that option. Now after thinking about it.. it seems that maybe I should be creating an .hdd image from the bootcamp partition ???? I just don't know. I think alot of people would appreciate a straight up dummies guide to using bootcamp with parallels.....

    please and thanks...

    Kris.

Which Parallels build are you using? The current GA build (retail product) does not support Boot Camp. Please make sure you are using either RC2 or RC3 and do the following:

    1. Start Parallels
    2. Click New...
    3. Select Custom, Click Next >
    4. Select Windows in OS Type, Windows XP (I assume you are using XP) in OS Version, click next >
    5. Set VM memory, click next >
    6. Select Use Boot Camp, click next >

And follow the rest of the on screen instruction...
