Now Extremely Slow After Being Fast. Any Ideas

For several months Parallels has worked great. Now it has gotten very, very slow and takes, for example, 25 or 30 seconds just to open Word. Slowness is for all programs and printing no longer works (I can print on the Mac side), with programs hanging every time printing is attempted. I uninstalled and reinstalled Bonjour but that did not help. I am on build 5582.

1) Any ideas as to what to do?

2) If I reinstall the build will it wipe out my data? Any options there to avoid wiping out the data but put a new reinstall of the program on?

 

Have you tried Defragging your Windows side with Windows Built-in defragger?
