so, i am using a windows 7 on my mac with parallels and i downloaded a game, but when i tried to launch it, it said " Can't write file GAMELAUNCHER.EXE to folder'patch'. Maybe you need to be granted more power by your windows' administrator! " i just want to know how i can solve this problem
It seems you do not have sufficient privileges to the folder. You should check permissions to this folder and grant read/write permissions if needed.
Win 7 has the option 'Run as...' or similar which you would get from right clicking the installer. It allows you to run the installer as the Administrator. Sort of similar to 'sudo' but only affect the installer in this case. Hope it solves it?
