Have installed Windows 98, Second Edition, it seems with success, on an iMac 1.8D. Speed is fine, no comparison to VPC, but I have yet to install any software. Startup is around 40 seconds. Shut down is around 2!

When I try to suspend, the whole iMac just switches off and goes on to re-start. I read in another thread that you have to save first, but when I switch to Property View page, all the functions at the bottom, including SAVE are greyed out.

Am I doing something wrong? If startups are fast, I may not need this option, but at least it should not crash.

This has been happening to me in beta 3 as well, on my iMac. I've just downloaded beta 4 and we'll see if that helps.

Are you suspending your iMac or just trying to suspend your guest ?

Please, inform us whether or not this bug exists in beta4.

I'm trying to suspend Windows XP as a guest OS by quitting Parallels and choosing "Suspend" on the box that comes up when I do so.

I'll post again shortly to let you know how it goes in beta 4 -- I just had to reboot my iMac after a kernel panic trying to start beta 4 for the first time.

This problem seems to be resolved in beta 4, at least for me.
