Not able to install Parallels Desktop on MAC

To run some PC-Programs on my MAC I just bought the software 'PD for MAC'. But the installation will not start. A click on the 'Install Parallels Desktop'-Icon does not lead to any action of my MAC. Even the CD-Drive does not start.
The 'Uninstall PD'-Icon leads to the Message ' - 'You do not have PD installed on your computer'. There the CD-Drive starts

I have bought a full german PD version.

I have a MACBook (1 year old); 1GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM; about 35GB free Diskspace; 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo;
So the hardware requirements should be fullfilled

 

I am not sure if this will work in Germany, but can you download a trial version from a local site and use your activation key from the box?
