Just installed Parallels Workstation 2.1 on my Xandros 4 box. I get a message warning about the CD being automounted, but this did not bother during the install of Win2K Pro from its CD or the Parallels tools from the Parallels CD.

Now, when I try to use the CD to install Corel Wordperfect 8 into the Win2K VM, I get the message:

    Not a valid Win32 application.

I get the same message if I try to install from the run box, or from Windows Explorer.

I tried installing another Windows program from a file that I downloaded to the hard disk, and that installed just fine.

    What's up?

    Thanks.

    Frank.

Found it. Seems that I needed to reboot the whole machine. Don't know why, but since the reboot it now loads programs from the CD. I still get the warning, but it works otherwise.
