    Hello,

I just switched over to Parallels from Boot Camp. Before switching I made a backup of my XP install using Norton Ghost 10.0
I have these backup files on both a USB 2.0 and a Firewire external drive.

I have been unsuccessful in restoring my system using ghost 10.0 (mainly getting XP to restart using a startup disc and reading from the external drive).

    Has anyone done this successfully??

    Thanks.

I am also interested in this. Have you made any other success since you made this post?

Can you use the Ghost CD itself to boot the Mac? I believe the Ghost CD is bootable (at least on a PC)?

On my Windows PC, I use Acronis TrueImage 10. I can make a bootable CD that can directly load TrueImage and it can access the Lacie Firewire 800 external hard drive I have. Then I can create images from the computer hard drive and restore from those images as necessary. I am not sure if it will work on an Intel Mac, though.
