I'm new to parallels and now trying to install Monteray on a Macbook pro with the M1 silicon. I installed Parallels 1.7.3 (trial for now) and in the "create new" window, in "free systems" there is no option for any macos. I can see Windows 11 in the top (which I installed and works fine) and 4 linux flavours but no macos. No luck trying horizontal scrolling. so I tried https://kb.parallels.com/125561 "manual installation", since again the "download macos" is just not there. I downloaded the UniversalMac_12.4_21F79_Restore.ipsw and then used /Applications/Parallels\ Desktop.app/Contents/MacOS/prl_macvm_create ~/Downloads/UniversalMac_12.4_21F79_Restore.ipsw ~/Parallels/macOS.macvm --disksize 80000000000 but the command silently exists with error code 1 (echo $?). any clues what I may be doing worng? many thanks in advance
