Non-system disk error

    I keep getting a non-system disk error when I try to install windows xp. Does anyone know why or how I can fix this?

    I am getting tha same thing and I know the install disc is fine.

    The CDROM is probably not actually loaded into the VM, so its trying to default to the "hard drive" in which there is no bootable device.

    Devices->CDROM->Default CDROM should dedicate the CDROm to the VM, making it boot upon restart.
