No numbers on extended keyboard

I have a new (Jan 2011) iMac 27. I have Parallels Desktop 6 installed. I have replaced the blue tooth keyboard with a wired "extended" keyboard (the one with the numbers and special keys - like a good old Windows keyboard).

When using any windows software, the extended keyboard's numbers work like arrow keys, and not like numbers. Inside iMac, they all work just fine.

I have tried the "gitting the clear key" suggestion in other KB articles, it does not work.

Stumped.

Can anyone out there help me with this one?

 

With your VM open, Select (from the top menu), Devices/Keyboard/NumLock

 

Thanx Mike. First I had to tell Parallels there was a USB keyboard attached, then you solution worked.
