When I boot into my Windows XP guest, I no longer see my desktop icons nor can I use my right mouse to refresh the screen. I do see my DOS login script box, so I am logging on to my corporate network. When I login as the Administrator locally, I too see the default Windows background, but without icons as well.

Anyone have any fixes for this problem?

My configuration is a MacBook Pro, 2GB RAM, and 256MB allocated to XP.

    Same issue

I'm having this same issue. From a fresh Windows XP install. I can inspect my "My Desktop" folder in the Windows Explorer, and I see all of the expected icons. But the only one I see on the actual desktop is the Recycle Bin.

I am seeing this on a MacBook Pro with 512 MB devoted to XP; as well as a Mac Mini with 1GB devoted to XP.

I haven't been able to find a solution. Is there a better place to look?
