no more c-drive on mac-desktop visible

maybe there is a simple solution for my asking:

when parallels newly installed an having set the windows7 guest-os, there was a c-drive to be seen on the mac-desktop named "windows7" - this i could access from either side.
now its vanished.
i tried what is described in the manual - shared etc - but it still isn't to be seen anymore.
i once ejected ist, just like the manual proposed, so it should reappear when parallels is restarted.
it does not.
how can i get back the c-drive-icon on the mac-desktop.
as my parallels-version is german and my english is far from fluent, it would be helpful to keep any advice, if there is such provided, in a simple manner (for dummies ;-)
