I have a macbook pro. UPgraded parallels to build 3188. It worked a few times, then an automatic AVG (whatever that is) window popped up saying that it was downloading updates. After that, coherence didn't work. Now, when I get the VM window, if I click anywhere inside the OS window, the cursor disappears. I can hit control alt to get it back, but it again disappears when I click on anything. I can't install tools because the cursor disappears when I click on it. The tab or other keyboard prompts do not work either. The control alt does bring it back, only to disappear again. Any ideas? BTW, I have uninstalled and reinstalled parallels with the same problem occuring upon reinstall.
Try attaching an external keyboard and mouse, then go into Menus: Devices -> USB -> and select both your keyboard and mouse... You should be able to un-install and install parallels tools now.
