Last year I attempted to upgrade to version 4 on my macMini I got an error that my CPU could not support virtualization. I spent about a month on the problem with various Parallels help people before giving up. Last week I purchased an iMac and before transferring files attempted to remove all traces of Parallels. I got help from Parallels, tried to install 4, got an error that there were undeleted files, but continued the installation which worked. I then uninstalled and reinstalled without error and installed my old copy of XP. MS even accepted the registration! I've not explored everything but the wireless printer works. So this is a success story.
