I just bought this software yesterday, have already spent way too many hours with it, and still have not managed to load Windows 7 onto my Macbook Pro El Capitan. We tried using a .iso disk image, copied all of the files from the original Windows disc onto an empty USB drive, and even took all those files and reconfigured them into a .dmg image, contacted customer support, and still have gotten the same error message: "No boot device is available, press enter to continue" What can I do to get this thing to work? Is there something I'm missing? I've tried to google the answer to this several times, but all I'm seeing are posts from 2006 to 2012 and still no definitive answer. I am absolutely losing my patience, and if I don't get a solution soon, I want a full refund of my money
Hi EvaM, Please follow the steps below: Download Windows 7 ISO from here. 1. Start Parallels Desktop > File > New (as per this article ) 2. Select the ISO file as installation media and in step 4 as per the article (when it asks for Windows activation key), 'UNCHECK' Express Installation & proceed with the installation. 3. Once Windows is installed successfully, you can install Parallels Tools manually.
