Well, my problem is, that the Aero UI won't get avtivated, even the performance check of Vista (WinSAT) refuses to run.
It just seems to crash every time and says that it could not read some processor thingys out of the graphics accellerator. What's up with that?

    Parallels Desktop 3, DirectX-Support enabled, Parallels-Tools installed.

Please read the release notes. Parallels supports _limited_ (as in part of) DirectX 8.1.

Aero requires full (all of) DirectX 9.0.

all the advertising for 3.0 IMO makes it clear Aero isnt supported in the initial release.
