I installed Parallels 4 on my MacBook Pro and created a new Virtual Machine with Windows XP Pro. I had the Service Pack 3 install file already downloaded and ran it on the Virtual Machine. It took a while, but got to "Running processes after install" and just sits there forever. It's been 3 hours now just sitting there. Anybody successfully upgrade to SP3 in XP Pro in Parallels 4? Pretty annoying that I did all this setup this morning and now it's just hanging and not doing anything. Thanks, Matt
XP Pro SP3 problem here as well Upgrading to 4.0 build 3522 from Parallels Desktop for the Mac 3, I am asked during the Parallels Tools installation to locate the disk for XP SP3 - which I previously installed via the web. Without a disk, I have no Parallels Tools. What to do? pdj
Hello Matt, Сould you please clarify whether this is a Windows under Boot camp which is used as a VM ar not? I would suggest to try reinstalling Parallels Tools for now, but for a more close investigation it is better either to create a ticket in our support line or create a report (Parallels Desktop -> Help -> Report a problem) and provide us with the report ID. As for the Parallels Tools installation, Paul, could you clarify what is exactly the message that you receive? is it Windows disk which is needed or Parallels Tools .iso image itself?
