Don't make partitions on your mac

unless you want the wobbly Bootcamp in perpetual beta and unsupported by apple.

the thing with the Mac is to use defaults unless you have a good reason to change

    KISS
Keep It Simple (Stupid - are you if you don't)

I bought a mac in 1995 or so because I refused to learn DOS

Increase the size of an existing hard disk image

Can anyone help me increase the size of my virtual hard disk from 8 gig to 100 gig. When I try, I cannot increase the gigabyte size of my virtual hard disk. When I get to the source hard disk image where I am asked to specify its new size, in the window asking for the "Source Disk Image," it will not accept the suggested file location which in my case is: /users/judgebianchini/disk1.hdd. When I click on next, I get the dialog box that says: "The name of the hard disk file /users/judgebianchini/disk1.hdd is not valid as it refers to the existing folder object. Please specify another name for the image file." I have tried creating a new image file, but that does not work either. Please help me quickly, as I need to increase the size of my virtual hard disk to 100 gigs.

    Thanks in advance,

    Vic

That's funny. Bootcamp has been bulletproof for me for a year, and I'm constantly switching back and forth (I'm a Windows developer), so it gets a lot of exercise.

Did you actually have a bad experience, or were you just spouting crap for the sake of it?

    Matt,

By default, Parallels will create a 32GB hard drive for Windows.
