Hi there I know this will have been asked heaps of times previously but here goes. If I buy a newish Macbook (2015-2016) that comes with macOS Sierra, can I install a macOS virtual machine that's older than the Macbook, like Lion, Mountain Lion? I ask this because you cant install previous OS versions than computer manufacture date...I hope this makes sense. And If so, are there any pitfalls performance wise seeing the OS is older than the newer hardware? Thanks Matt
@MattS11 Hi, yes you are able to run the older versions of Mac OS with Parallels Desktop 15 for Mac. Please refer to this KB article https://kb.parallels.com/124223 to know about the supported Mac OS guest Operating system.
