new imac and external superdrive

    hi, i have a new imac and transferred from my old imac to the new using migration assistant. everything is ok but my parallels using windows XP has no audio and doesnt recognise the external usb air superdrive. is there an update i need for these functions to be added?

    Hi iaindean, I suggest to go to the VM configuration editor and remove old CD/DVD drive if exist.
    And then add CD/DVD drive again by pressing "+" button.
    Make sure that superdrive is pluged to you Mac at this moment

    reinstall parallels tools (it's in "Virtual Machine" menu)

    i had to run the installer a couple of times before everything "took" and started working correctly.
