    Hi there,

Using iMac Intel Core Duo with a Netgear router to network to two Windows XP SP2 computers, one is Home and the other is Pro. The WinXP Pro is installed under Parallels here on my iMac.

I need to know how I can access files on XP Pro from iMac (also XP Home on iMac) and vice versa. Additionally, how to view files on XP Home (separate computer entirely) from either iMac or XP Pro on iMac.

I am sure I used to be able to do this. Currently, if on XP Pro (or Home) I have to copy files I need to Shared Folders on either system. I just want to be able to access a file (be it Word or whatever) on any of the three options, iMac OSX (v.10.4.8) or Win XP Pro or Home.

How can I re-set my networking so that I can achieve this goal? In addition how do I find out what the main settings are in each of the three networks? For example, the iMac might be "ABCDEFG". Where would that information be stored so that I can ensure I enter it under XP Pro. Similarly, if XP Pro has a main name "ZYXWG" where can I locate that to ensure it is also correct for access from iMac or Home?

Sorry if this isn't very clear. I am sure this used to work, so unclear to me what has changed. I don't want to keep three copies of files when a network access can locate the file I need.

Thanks for any advice and suggestions. Any guidance much appreciated.
