Hi, im new to parallels on mac os X , but i'am familiarized with the virtualisation such as Vmware.

I recently installed a Debian netinstall with parallels on a mac mini core solo.

i configure the network during the install process and it seems to be ok
i can ping the new virtual machine and the virtual machine can ping all the network (LAN & WAN )
then i install ssh client and server with apt-get, it's ok
    i install apache 1.3 and it's ok

but when i try to make a connexion with ssh in the mac os X terminal to the VM i receveid this error

"connect to host 10.0.0.10 port 22: Operation timed out"

when i try to make a connexion on the http port to apache i receveid a timed out on safari

I try with a other machine under windows with putty and it's ok
i try too in the console mode on the VM and it's ok

i used the parallels workstation 2.1 and the network config is bridged

    any idea ?

    thanks

( I don't speak english very well, it's not my native language ;)

On the Macintosh side, check System Preferences/Network, and check the IP of the Parallels Host-Guest adaptor, see if you can ping that (from Terminal on the Mac), if you can, try ssh to it.

thanks for your reply but ...

in the mac os X preference/network there is not parallels guest host adapter, just the ethernet adapters for my cards en0, en1

i can ping the parallels workstation ( debian ) but all network services provide by the debian on the virtual machine is not responding on the mac OS side

with a other machine on network i can make ssh connexion on the virtual machine ...

    thanks
