Internet Explorer is telling me I need to install a network driver. I have parallels set to sharing networking. How do i get network access in Windows 7?
Solved issue! I reinstalled parallels tools inside Windows 7 and bam, everything worked. It should be noted that my sound, network, and smartmouse (ability to move mouse pointer from windows to mac without pressing ctrl+alt) weren't working either. For some reason, I thought parallels tools were to be installed on the mac side.
Possible Solution I had a similar problem with one of my clients and I know I had to go to host only networking and bridge connections. I know that the device menu only shows up when the VM is running, which is where you'll find the bridge connections option. The host only networking is in the Preferences menu for Parallels. I'll be back at the site tomorrow and will let you know if I'm mistaken. Hope this helps. Bryan
