Using shared networking, my guest (XP) is 10.211.55.3 and the gateway is .1 as expected.
The guest can access (e.g. web surf) the Internet.
The host can see files on the guest (however that works), and vice versa.

I would like the host (OS X) to be able to access network services (such as IIS) that are on the guest (XP).
For example, use Safari on the Mac to browse an IIS web site that's on it's guest.
But I don't want the rest of the network to see the guest!

I don't see a network adaptor for the guest in the System Preferences > Network.
I just see my host internet connection on Ethernet Adaptor (along with Airport, etc.)
IPCONFIG shows the 10.211.55.3, but that doesn't show up anywhere on ifconfig.
(I see some IPv6 things on ifconfig, but I think those are about MobileMe or something.
I also see vnic0 and vnic1, the latter having some other IP address that I don't recognize.
Don't know what all that's about.)

I would prefer for the guest to have a known IP address all the time.
I think this used to work somehow, because I even have Safari bookmarks for my 10.211.55.3 (guest) web pages.
