I want to try x86 emulation with LinuxCNC, and if you're reading this you probably already know that the VM needed to test this had to have been originally created on an x86 machine. I switched over to Apple Silicon long ago, and I don't have an Intel Mac anymore to try it out.

Would you consider posting a Parallels 20.2 compatible LinuxCNC VM created on your Intel Mac?

The iso is here: https://linuxcnc.org/downloads/, and you're looking for: https://www.linuxcnc.org/iso/linuxcnc_2.9.4-amd64.hybrid.iso

This knowledge base article explains what I'm trying to do: https://kb.parallels.com/130217

    And thanks!

    Hi,
    I created your VM.
Unfortunately, I cannot upload it here.
I think, it is too big (1.8 MB).
How can I send it to you?

Would you provide your email address?
    That would help.

If you like, tell me what you do with it.

    Best regards from Heiko

I think, I have more work to do...
    I created a gnu-Linux 9 VM for you.
If I understand correctly now, it has to be Linux 12 !??
As for sending the VM to you, please tell me your email address. Otherwise I cannot send the VM to you

I copied a win 10 VM from my Intel base MBP to my M3 MBP.
I do not have the start in emulation button and when it starts it goes into BIOS setting mode. Screenshot 2025-01-30 at 14.27.18.png
