I'm so new with parallels that I'm not sure which forum to post in so I'll just throw out the first problem! I just switched from PCs at my office to Macs. Our contracted independent IT guy came in to do the setup. I have a new MacBook Pro. I have used the iBook G4 in the past. My IT guy installed Parallels. At the office all seems to work well. However, when I get home with the MacBook I cannot get an internet connection on the Windows side. The Mac side is fine since Airport quickly found my home wireless signal. On the Windows side when I look at my Network Connections I see the "Local Area Connection" which also says "Connected, Firewalled, Parallels Network Adapter". So I apparently have internet connection. However, I cannot connect Internet Explorer, Outlook or Timbuktu. There is no internet connection. Can someone help? Or if not perhaps direct me to the proper forum? I guess the question is if I am onine on the Mac side why can't I connect on the Windows side? Again--this is NOT a problem at my office where I also connect with a wireless signal.

    Thank you.

    Steve

With the VM shutdown, click on Edit to edit the VM's configuration. Then, click on the network adapter. If it's set to Bridged Ethernet, make sure it's set to "Default Adaptor". You can also try changing the setting to Shared Networking.

Thanks. It is set to Bridged Ethernet and "Default Adaptor" already. I don't see where to change the setting to "Shared Networking".
