Multiple app files?

    I was wondering why Parallels 8 installed 35 copies of the Google Chrome file (named "Google Chrome [number].app", 75 and 76 kb each), in addition to a non-numbered Google Chrome.app file (112 kb)? Same thing for iTunesIco.exe.app file (3 copies)?
