Multi-Monitor settings never stick

I have a two monitor configuration as follows:

{ IMAC } { MONITOR }

Both monitors are 1920x1080 resolution.

When I start Windows 8 in Parallels, the IMAC monitor is correctly at 1920x1080 but the second monitor is always set at 1024x768.

I manually change the resolution to 1920x1080 AND make the second monitor my primary.

I click "OK" to keep the settings and they stay throughout a Parallels session.

Once I close the session, however, and restart another the settings never stick. I've tried various combinations in the COnfiguration but can't find anything that works.

This is more annoying than anything else, i.e. I always spend the first couple minutes of my Parallels session fixing screen resolution only to have it not remembered.

Is there a way to PERMANENTLY store these settings? Thanks.
