I would like to keep all my financial files on the Mac with the rest of my documents. I would like to use MS Money 2004 under WinXP under Parallels. I have created a shared folder that maps to the Finances folder within my Mac Documents folder. I have tried Beta 5 and now Beta 6.

I notice the following issues over Shared Folders:
    * Clicking on Accept for a given downloaded transaction results in a screen redraw issue for that transaction (perhaps because it also involves a database update, and thus Shared Folder write?
    * Closing the program is impossible because it cannot properly backup (even after specifying the Shared Folder) and then it throws Internal Error dialog boxes, without quitting. You must CTRL-ALT-DEL to regain control.

I don't have these problems if I copy the Money data file (*.mny) to the virtual hard drive and run it from there, creating a back up there.

I haven't tried MS Money 2006 yet but would prefer not to upgrade if I don't have to due to changes in the MS Money online banking function.

It would seem that these errors coupled with a long lag in browsing to the Shared Folders indicates that this function isn't fully baked.

Architecturally, is there any reason why these folders can't be mounted as a removeable drive, a la Parallel Tools?
