    Hi to everybody.

Maybe this is not one of those fancy questions related to XP or Linux virtualization, but here it goes anyway.

Can anybody tell me if Parallels for OSX will support Soundblaster/Adlib emulation under MS-DOS?

One of the few reasons for still using MS-DOS today are some outstanding games that were developed for that OS and that don't work very well under emulators such as Dosbox (the Crusader No Remorse-No Regret series, for example).

In addition, Windows 95 runs on top of MS-DOS and it would be nice to have sound support.

    Thanks for any information.

Just a thought... Q (http://www.kberg.ch/q/), while still an emulator at this moment due to unfinished virtualization kext, does SoundBlaster / Adlib emulation. Have you tried that?

    Thanks Wesley.

No, I have tried a port of Dosbox and it's quite slow (especially for "sophisticated" programs such as games).

I will try Q and let you know.

In any case, if anybody knows if P-W will have Soundblaster/Adlib support, I'll appreciate the information.

    Saludos!

Surely in later version Parallels will have SB emulation. But not in GA.

I would just like to add in my desire for soundblaster emulation.

There are tons of great dos games that do not run fast enough under DosBox.

I installed MS-DOS 6.22 with the Parallels RC1 release, and the Warcraft series of games run great, but are not really fun to play without sound! :)

Another feature request I have is support for 2.88MB floppy images.
