I recently installed VMware's free server and I gotta say they really improved it a lot. I originally bought Parallels because vmware server was slow (with the whole console thing), but it's all changed now. I get much better responsiveness (with and without vmtools), snapshots, NAT, drivers and the ability to run more than 1 VM reliably. Thus, I'm moving back to vmware.
