I'm planning on moving to W10, but want to do a clean install. However I have a ton of data and programs in a W7 vm.

My question is, can I run each instantiation simultaneously in Parallels and use a tool (transporter?) to move all the key items from W7 to W10? If not transporter, then is there an alternative approach?

    Cheers

    Hello,
Parallels Transporter allows you to migrate Windows OS and data from a Windows computer to your Mac, it cannot be used to transfer data between VM's.
For your information Windows 10 upgrade cannot be installed as new virtual machine,it has to be done on the Windows 7 or 8.1 VM,if you wish to install Windows 10 as new virtual machine you may have to purchase full version of Win 10 and reinstall required programs.

Thanks for the above. However the latter part of your answer is not correct (if I am understanding you correctly). I have been running W10 as a clean install form early on in the trial with no problems. Interestingly enough, I CANNOT upgrade the W7 vm, as the setup reports that my system is incapable of supporting W10 - that whilst running alongside a vm that is running - W10 :)
