Now I now this likely applies to approximately... only myself. But anyway. One of the reasons I purchased Paralles Desktop for Mac was to run VMWare VirtualCenter (a Windows app) at work on my Mac. My problem pops up when I try to control a virtual linux machine in the virtual console in VirtualCenter in Windows under Parallels. Still with me? When Parallels Tools' mouse synchronization is installed the cursor goes all over the map in my virtual linux console. I gather the problem is something to do with too many mouse mappings, i.e. Mac->Parallels->Windows->VirtualCenter->Linux, or something like that. Mouse synchronization is very very nice to especially now with Coherence, so uninstalling it is not really an option for me. Anyway I found a passable workaround: Using a MacBook with built-in trackpad so I'm able to connect a separate USB mouse. I assign the mouse specifically to Parallels' virtual USB controller (this makes it inoperable in Mac OS X) Moving the mouse around I find that the cursor is immobile in Parallels (but it clearly works as I can click menues and buttons... there's just no movement of the cursor graphic) Now I click the VirtualCenter console and my cursor in the VMWare Linux console moves nicely and smoothly about the console window (well, not quite but at least it's usable as opposed to before) I have no clue to whom I should address this concern but if anyone like me is using Parallels Desktop to run VMWare VirtualCenter there's your workaround.
