I have a new iMac, running Excel 2010 for Windows under Parallels. I find that when I split an Excel window, either using the double-headed arrow in the lower right corner, or by freezing the panes, the mouse won't scroll left or right (using the middle wheel) when I am working in the RIGHT hand pane of Excel. Even if the cursor and mouse are in the right pane, when I try to scroll left or right in the right pane, the left pane scrolls, which is very frustrating. (It worked perfectly on my old Windows machine). This happens both with my old Logitech 3 button mouse with middle scroll wheel tilt (model M-BZ105A, like the current M400 or M500 I think) and it also happens with the Apple Magic Mouse. (I didn't install anything special when I connected the Logitech mouse, it just worked, except for this). Have you any suggestions? Thanks for your help.
Hi GlenSydney, Please try (Re)Installing Parallels Tools as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/4841 And go to VM Configure (http://kb.parallels.com/117287) > Hardware > Keyboard and Mouse > Set Smart Mouse option to "Auto-detect for games". Restart Windows Virtual Machine.
