Hello. PD: 20.1.0 (55732) (Business Edition) MacBook Pro 16", 2019 retina 2,4 GHz Intel Core i9 8 core AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8 GB RAM 64 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 macOS 15.0.1 (24A348) Gues VM: Windows 10 Pro 22H2, 19045.4957 After installing last version of PD (20.1.0), the mouse pointer/cursor no longer display correctly on Windows. I always see the mouse pointer of the mac. I'm using my VM in Full Screen Mode, but the same happens exiting from Full Screen.
P.S. Uninstalling Parallels Tools, restarting and installing the Tools again, does not risolve the issue. Reverted to previous version, because it is impossible to work without the mouse pointer.
P.P.S. I repeated all the steps: 1. Restart Windows, 2. Uninstall Parallels Tools, 3. Restart Windows, 4. Install Parallels Tools, 5. Restart Windows, now the mouse pointer is working. Really don't know what happened, but it's working.
Context: I was already on the latest Parallels, and I updated my MacOS. I then had an issue with the mouse not appearing in just Office -- Excel. (And the ribbon items in Word appearing only after rolling over them.) I just restarted these, and both were normal again. They needed their own restart. The person above had a problem that was not resolved by restarting Parallels, but by restarting Windows. Windows remains signed in even when you restart Parallels (possibly through disk-based settings). So, after a Parallels, or even more so a MacOS, update, try just restarting exactly what is having an issue -- before uninstalls and reinstalls and restarting everything else.
Hello, thank you for your reply. I'm not sure I understand what you're writing but please note: The problem with the mouse, in my case, is extended to the whole VM, non just one application. This is not the first time I have such an issue with the mouse pointer. It's about since two/three releaes that mouse pointer becomes "unstable" on Windows. For instance, I often have to switch (slide) to Mac and then go back to Windows (I'm using full screen mode) to restore the mouse pointer. Actions I tried were, as always, suggested by Parallels support. Everytime I get in touch with them, the first request is: please uninstall PD-Tools, restart the guest OS, installat PD_Tools and restart the guest OS again. About my case, in particular, I also had a remote connection with Parallels Support and they were able to verify the problem. Unfortunately the technician was going to do a Windows repair and I had to disconnect the connection. In the end, it would have been of no use. Finally: simply restarting Windows, even multiple times, did not worked (too much obvious). Thank you. Best Regards.
MBP 2018 Intel. Recent MacOS 15.1.1 fresh install and Parallels Version 20.1.1 (55740). Seeing the same. The windows cursor is there I think...if I grab a file explorer and drag it fast I can see the white windows cursor under the mac black cursor. So it seems at least here that the MacOS cursor is not getting turned off when in a guest VM. I did try to reinstall parallels tools and that did not change anything.
