I have problems with my mouse losing focus. Sometimes my mouse travels between MacOS and Windows XP nicely: I can travel between apps of both OSs, and then my mouse starts acting weird. When I go between 2 Windows XP windows it won't allow the mouse to cross over. It usually relocates the pointer to the center of the originally pointed to XP windows. At this point, I normally can't go to Mac windows even after pressing ctrl-alt. Why does this happen? I am using the latest Mac version and the last updated XP version. CRK
Mouse antics addition I, too, am having "mouse antics" in XP. The cursor will just jump to a corner while I'm working (very frustrating). I run Parallels in coherence view, so I wonder if that is part of the issue. I've installed and re-installed Parallels Tools and have enabled mouse synchronization. I initially had a Logitech mouse (which I miss dearly), but I couldn't get it to focus at all. I was getting wrist strain just trying to click on things. I switched back to the Mac mouse that came with my iMac and it works better, but not great. I love the Parallels product, but the mouse issue is a big drawback for someone who does Web work all day.
I use Microsoft basic optical mouse (wired) with zero problems the 5 button is overkill because you must use the Parallels mouse driver not the utility on the CD a mouse jumping is usually hardware or dirt avoid coherence if you can KISS better with two screens Hugh W
I still have the same problem after re-installing Parallel Tools from the Parallel's headline. When I am in Coherence and in an XP window and mouse to any window, whether XP or Mac, my mouse jumps to the center of the XP window that I am in. The only way around this is to ctrl-alt out.
I seem to have stumbled across a undesirable solution: Each time I boot up XP if I go to the parallels tool in XP (the icon), and disable and apply then re-enable and apply everything works fine. I'd still like the product to work correctly (parallels team??) Clayton
Hello, please, make sure that Control panel->Mouse->Pointer options->Display Pointer Trails is unchecked. And try to choose only "Mouse synchronization" in features list while reinstalling Tools. Best regards, Alicia.
