Parallels is pretty awesome, but I'm running into an irritating limitation.

Ordinarily, I keep Parallels running a Windows vm in Fullscreen mode in a background space. Being able to switch to a full-screen Windows install nearly instantaneously is awesome. =)

I also want the ability to run some Windows applications in Crystal (or Coherence) mode alongside my Mac apps in my primary space. (I often find myself writing documents in Word for Mac that are related to some Visio figures, and since MS doesn't make Visio for Mac OS, I'd like to run the Windows Visio application alongside my Word document.)

However... I can't seem to do both concurrently. That is, when I need to run Visio, I have to toggle Parallels out of full-screen mode, and then remember to toggle Parallels back into full-screen mode in a background space once I finish with Visio.

So: Anyone know of a way to run an application in Crystal mode while also running the same OS in Fullscreen mode? Thanks in advance.

It is not possible unfortunately for the reason how Coherence is designed: when you run application in Coherence all the background is made transparant, means it actually exists and does not disappear, just made invisible. In full screen everything is vice versa, so you cannot combine those 2 different views.

You can install application you need to run in Coherence to another VM and start it while you need them (it is better to suspend the first VM), so one VM would run in Full screen, another in Coherence.
