The Shared folder on my Mac desktop has disappeared, and I can't restore it. There is folder on the Windows 10 desktop called Parallels Shared Folders, and there is a Shared subfolder in this folder. The Shared subfolder on the Windows side works, and I can access the shared folder on the Mac side via Finder. However, I cannot restore the Mac desktop icon.

I've tried every combination of uninstalling and reinstalling Parallels Tools combined with turning sharing off and on, but nothing I've tried works.

As workaround I created an alias to the Parallels Shared folder on the Mac side, but this seems like a kludge.

I'm running Parallels Version 11.2.0 (32581) and Windows 10 Pro.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Seth

This is strange. I tried your solution with no success. Last evening I had occasion to drag and drop a file from the Windows VM to the Mac desktop. This morning I noticed the Share icon is back on the Mac. I can't say with certainty the Share folder appeared after copying the file from Windows to Mac (I didn't pay particular attention to the presence or absence of the Share folder yesterday), but but I'm pretty confident that is the case. I hope this helps you root out a bug!
