I reinstalled Windows Vista on my MacBook Pro and all of a sudden my disk space went from 114 GB to 89 GB. So essentially my disk space shows that I have Vista installed twice. I uninstalled Parallels and Vista and my disk space still shows 89 GB. It should now be 130 GB or so. It seems as if my hard drive hasn't recognized that I've uninstalled both programs even though when I do a search for Parallels or Vista nothing is found. Does anyone know what is wrong here? I can't figure out how to get this disk space back.

Stupid question but did you empty your trash??? Reboot your mac...... check your trash again....... and empty it.....

This happened to me with my imovie...... seemed to take a long time for my system to recognize thtat I emptied the trash but it was still showing "full".... ate my entire 160 gig drive up..... after about 3 hours.... it restored back to it's original state..

Just curious...what procedure did you follow to uninstall Vista?
