Since upgrading to version 4.0 whenever I click on the maximise icon on the top right of a window it opens it so that the taskbar is covered. The only way I can get a full size window that doesn't obscure the taskbar is to manually drag and reshape the window when it is not maximised.

I would like to have it so that maximised windows to leave the taskbar uncovered by default.

    Solution to this problem

Right click on the taskbar and select properties.
Click "Keep the taskbar on top of other windows".
You might check some other options as well.

Just keeping the taskbar on top does not help because now the taskbar will display over part of the window you have maximized. The behavior in v3 was correct, you would maximize a window and it would maximize leaving the taskbar visable, now in v4 it appears someone has broken this so it does not calculate the screen size correctly and maximizing an application takes up the whole window including the space that should be allocated to the taskbar.
