I have a iMac Core Duo 2.0GHz with 2GB mem (the max, it turns out) and I'm looking to maximize the speed of Win XP in Parallels when I'm using it. Right now I have the VM set for 1024MB mem and 32MB of video mem. Are these optimum setting for speed in WinXP when I'm using it? Are there other tips for maximizing the speed of WinXP running under Parallels? Thanks in advance--
Hello Fbx, The recommended maximum RAM value for Parallels VM is 512MB. A value between 256 and 512 will be optimum for Windows. A larger RAM can cause slow downs as the memory on Mac side would be too defragmented. Best regards, Xenos
