I thought this might help some folks. After upgrading to mavericks, and updating the vm tools, I am able to go full screen across two monitors in my Win7 VM, but when swiping between spaces of full screen Win7 VM and Mac OSX, the secondary monitor continues to display the Windows extended desktop. There's a new feature in Mavericks Mission Control settings for "Displays have separate Spaces", which is on by default. Sounds like a neat idea, but at this point, I prefer the pair of monitors to be tied together in each Space. Note: To disable this feature you will have to logout and log in after clearing the checkbox.
