I am trying to increase the memory available to my Windows 7 VM so I can run AutoCAD 2010. I manually set it to 2GB, but the VM is still only picking up 768MB. I know it's not a Windows 7 issue because I can see the amount of memory allocated when the VM first starts to boot.

    I'm running an iMac with 4GB, 10.5.8, and a 2.8GHz dual-core processor.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

where are you trying to change the memory setting? in the VM settings, or in the Parallels settings? Probably best to keep the Parallels memory settings (where memory for *all* VMs are defined) to "auto"; then change the memory ofr the VM in the VM settings.
