I tried to share the root of my Mac as a read only resource and when trying to use it in Windows 7, the Explorer starts searching for the resource, the green bar slowly grows, but nothing else happens.

A second disk is shared without problems.

In my configuration, all automatic resource sharing is disabled, and these two folders are exported as 'User defined Mac OS X folders'.

Strangely enough, when I double click the '/' folder, the name shown in the new window is always 'Untitled', regardless of the name previously saved.

    I'm evaluating 5.0.9308, on 10.6.3, running on a Mini.

    Anyone else experiencing this?

    Regards,

I bought the latest 5.0.9344, and the problem is still present.

Further tests showed that accessing the RO resource mapped to the root of the Mac does not hang, but it is extremely slow, it takes many minutes for the green bar to reach the right side. Afterwords the content of the disk is shown.

The second disk and the Home folder work without problems.

Can anyone from Parallels confirm the bug?
