Mac Running Slow

    I have been using Mac OSX Leopard for 2 years, different software and hardware are installed in it. After installing new game I am experiencing considerable slow performance. Many a times system hangs and shows low hard disk space is available. Can anyone of you tell me effective way to solve this problem?
