I was having an issue with not being to open my DVD drive with the Mac Pro "Eject" button. When I would go into disk utility, the "Open" button was greyed out and I could not open the DVD drive with any program, including iTunes, etc. I used "My Computer" in Vista and, right clicked the DVD drive and clicked on Eject. The drive opened. I still couldn't use OS X to close the drive. However, once I shut down Parallels, the DVD drive stopped opening and closing. Again, after I relaunched Parallels, the DVD would not open with the Mac Pro. What can I do so that Parallels doesn't take control of the DVD drive, so that I can open and close it with my Mac Pro? Thanks!
Uncheck connect at startup in Configuration page at Parallels Desktop -<Virtual Machine name>-Edit-Virtual Machine -CD-DVD-rom
