I tried to install Parallels 5 on my new Mac Pro and it crashes on installation. I really need for Parallels to work and I see others are having the same problem.

Has anyone heard when the new build will be available and how do we get it? Obviously we can't run parallels to check for the update.

Is there an email notification list somewhere, where we can sign up to be notified when the new build is released?

    Thanks.

This is also my concern. I am holding off on purchase of MacPro 12-core and Parallels Server until this is resolved. I hope it is resolved soon!

The newly released (9/01) update fixes this issue. Works great on my 12-core.

I don't see any updates other than for Parallels Desktop 5 for Mac for this problem. Did the problem exist in Parallels Server for Mac and has it been fixed as well?

same problem here -- kernel panic during install.
The KP is unresolvable only with a reinstall or backup from timemachine since the KP comes up very early in the boot-process.
    Damn uncool!

Are you talking about Parallels Desktop 5 or Parallels Server for Mac because the update of Parallels Desktop 5 (build 9376) addresses the issue with the new Mac Pros and shouldn't cause a kernel panic anymore.
