the key shown in the picture above the 7 on the number pad
    is called
    Num
    Lock
    on Windows keyboards

I have started to use a Windows keyboard to make life easy

the older mac has always supported multiple keyboards in a daisy chain

the support staff member who locked the previous thread was not very wise
because "there are more ways of choking a dog than strangling it with honey"
as an old farmer said to me in 1954 when we were fixing a steam traction engine for him :)

Which keyboard / Mac do you have?

As Hugh mentioned above, if your keyboard has a number pad, the key above the "7" (marked "Clear") functions as NumLock in a Windows guest OS in Parallels. Try it.

If you meant that you have a keyboard that doesn't have a number pad (e.g., a Macbook, etc.), F6 serves as the NumLock key. After pressing F6, which makes the keyboard keys do double-duty as the keypad, press 6 (the "Clear" key mapping) which then toggles those keys to be the number pad rather than the arrow pad.
