The feature that allows associating Mac files with Windows programs is nice, but what I don't like is that Parallels apparently put down Internet Explorer as the correct program to open previously un-associated files. I opened an .sh file (shell script), and then noticed that Vista was starting. Of course I never associated .sh files with Internet Explorer. Very annoying!
Hello, could you please tell me what version of Parallels Desktop and Mac OS are you using? You can try to reset your Smart Select options. To do it, start your VM. Go to Applications in Menu bar, there you should click 'Populate'. If it doesn't help, click 'Set to default', but than you will have to reset all your associations one more time. If you have any problems, please write me back. Best regards, Stacey
