For ages I have been trying to get Parallels to work on my MBP. It was ok with version 3, but I’ve not been able to load it without seriously impacting the performance of the OS for a long time.
I thought that maybe this was due to upgrading to vista, so last week I deleted the VM and replaced it with XP. This made a bit of a difference but not much.

However, today I switched into a windowed mode for the hell of it, and suddenly everything was ok.
I didn’t realise that the performance in windowed mode would make so much difference.

Are there any settings etc. that I can play around with to get similar performance in coherence mode?

What normal mode would you view it in? Coherence?

I normally only use Full Screen, I don't think you can get much more performance from Coherence, I'm on a Octo Mac Pro w/ 18GB RAM, it works fine for me, it feels a little sluggish dragging Windows Explorer windows around, but that can be expected.

What kind of problems are you having with Coherence? apart from the OS slowing down a bit (If I read that correctly).

    Kind Regards
